Asmita Mallick, a student of class 10 has brought pride to the school by securing the 10th position at the All-India level in a national Essay Writing Competition organized by General Knowledge Today Magazine in collaboration with Competition Success. The competition is conducted every month on two different topics and attracts participation from students across the country. Asmita’s essay was selected among the 20 commendable entries nationwide, a significant accomplishment considering the large number of participants. In recognition of her achievement, she has received a Certificate of Merit along with rewards worth Rs. 500, which include India and World maps, bookmarks, and copies of the magazines for the next five months. The 1982 Alumni Batch of Little Flower School visited the campus on Saturday, 24 January 2026, creating a heart-warming atmosphere filled with nostalgia and pride. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Vice Principal, Sister Lily, Administrator, Sister Bimla and the alumni, followed by their address to the students. A short documentary showcased the glorious journey of the school. The alumni then interacted with the students of Classes IX and XI, sharing their life experiences and guiding them on various career options. A melodious song presented by the present students along with one of the alumni added a special touch to the occasion. The former students fondly revisited their classrooms, playgrounds and other corners of the school, reliving cherished memories. The visit truly strengthened the bond between the past and present LFS family, leaving behind moments of inspiration, warmth and togetherness.
The Farewell Ceremony for the outgoing Class XII batch of 2025–2026 was a beautiful blend of emotions, memories and celebration, lovingly organised by the students of Class XI. The afternoon began with the graceful ushering of the seniors, marking the start of a memorable send-off. The programme opened with the school prayer followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. A warm welcome address set the tone for the afternoon, after which a specially curated video presentation was screened, capturing the cherished moments, friendships and journey of the Class XII students, leaving the audience deeply moved. This was followed by the introduction and felicitation of the esteemed judges. Ms. Sonam Goyal, an accomplished designer and entrepreneur, and Ms. Kritika Singh, an internationally trained fashion designer, graced the occasion with their presence. The cultural segment continued with a melodious welcome song, leading into the much-awaited ramp walk where the seniors displayed confidence, grace and charm. The Talent Round and the Question–Answer Round provided a platform for students to showcase their skills, intellect and aspirations. A vibrant dance performance by the Class XI students filled the stage with energy and affection for their seniors. The highlight of the afternoon was the declaration of the much-awaited titles of Mr. LFS and Ms. LFS which were proudly awarded to Daljeet Singh and Ayushi Sahoo respectively. G. Bhargav and Sirisha Mankonda emerged as the First Runners-up, while Hanzala Seemak and Revika Francis secured the Second Runners-up positions, adding grandeur and excitement to the celebration. This Saturday, Loyola hosted the prestigious Thomas Paul Science Quiz, an event held annually for the past 30 years in memory of Sir Thomas Paul, a revered Physics and Mathematics teacher. The competition kicked off with a preliminary round featuring 25 questions spanning topics from space science and general knowledge to complex numericals. Six top-scoring teams, including LFS, advanced to the finals. The final showdown comprised five intense rounds. The opening round was particularly challenging. However, LFS staged a remarkable comeback in the rapid-fire round, climbing to second place. In a thrilling finish, LFS surged ahead in the final round to clinch the title with 135 points.

The much-awaited JRD Quiz was held on 29 July 2025 at the Michael John Auditorium in Bistupur, drawing an enthusiastic response from across the city. The quiz, held in honour of JRD Tata’s legacy, witnessed participation from 105 teams. After a rigorous selection process, six teams advanced to the final stage round, where they competed across five intense and engaging rounds. Quick thinking and strong teamwork helped Little Flower School clinch the first runners-up position. As a reward for their outstanding performance, the LFS team received a cash prize of ?8,000 and an exhilarating helicopter ride over Jamshedpur city — a fitting celebration of their achievement. In a thrilling display of skill and strategy, students from Little Flower School made their mark at the CISCE Zonal Chess Selection Trials, held on 18 June for boys and 19 June for girls at Loyola School, Jamshedpur. In the Under-19 Boys category, Darsh Gaurav secured second position, while V. Akash claimed third place. Darsh Gaurav is a under-14 boy who participated in the Under-19 boys category and stood second. In the Under-14 Girls category, Anushka Singh secured second position. All players have successfully qualified for the upcoming Regional Chess Championship. On 24 January 2025 The Seauli Seal General Quiz was conducted at D.B.M.S. English School, B.H. Area, Kadma. A total of 24 schools had participated among which Little Flower School bagged the Second Runners Up trophy.
On January 23, 2025, the Class 11 students of Little Flower School with the aid of Rotary Club, Jamshedpur organized a Free Health Care Camp as part of their community service initiative, designed to offer complimentary health services to the local population, with a particular emphasis on anaemia testing.
The event proved to be a resounding success, with over 300 individuals—including children, women, and men—receiving the benefit of free anaemia testing. The students, in collaboration with medical professionals, administered the tests and provided free medications to those diagnosed with anaemia.
On 23rd November 2024, 19 students from Little Flower School took part in 'Biblica', an inter-school event organized by Carmel Junior College, Sonari, Jamshedpur. Out of five events, our school secured the following positions:

Little Flower School also emerged as the First Runners Up among the six eminent participating schools of the city.
On 28 October, 2024, the accomplished students of Little Flower School participated in Esperanza 2024, an inter-school competition organized by Shiksha Niketan School. The LFS team, comprising 32 students, competed in 15 events and secured prizes in 11 of them. Competing against a total of 13 schools, Little Flower School emerged victorious, clinching the Overall Championship.

On 17 of August, students of LFS had taken part in an interschool event ETHIKOS
Organised by KPS Kadma, Jamshedpur. There were a total of 10 events and our students bagged the first prize in 5 events namely Dance, Programming, Comic Strip, Debate, Face Painting . We were awarded the third prize for Ramp walk and Kavyanjali.
With a strong showing across various disciplines, Little Flower School has demonstrated it's versatility and talent outshining competitors and securing the top spot out of 16 schools. This achievement is a result of the tireless efforts of students and teachers who have worked together to achieve excellence.
Fr. George Hess Memorial ASISC ZONAL INTER SCHOOL DECLAMATION CONTEST 2024 was hosted by Narbheram Hansraj English School on 10th August 2024.
The event saw the participation of 23 schools in sub-junior , 25 schools in junior and 20 schools in senior categories.
The responsibility of selecting speakers for each category to represent the ASISC- Jamshedpur zone at the Regional level rested with a panel of three esteemed judges from the literary field.
Little Flower School students proved their mettle. Syrus Abrar of class 12 was declared the winner in the senior category and Adrita Mukherjee of class 10 secured the first position in the junior category. These talented students of Little Flower School will now represent Jamshedpur zone in the Regional Declamation Contest.
Little Flower School is also proud of Asmita Mallick of class 8 who secured the second position in the sub-junior category. Congratulations to our girls!
The 2nd CISCE Zonal Taekwondo Selection Trials for 2024 were conducted at Little Flower School, Telco, Jamshedpur on 5th July 2024. A total of 21 ICSE schools from Jamshedpur participated, collectively bringing 200 children to compete. Leading the proceedings were Mr. Manohar Singh, President of ESDTA, accompanied by Mr. Gopal Kumar, Vice President of ESDTA, and technical officials Mr. Arvind Sharma, Mr. Prince Singh, and Mr. Santosh Tiwari.
The inauguration of the event was graced by Sister Hilda D'Souza, Principal of Little Flower School. Notably, Little Flower School fielded 25 participants who showcased their skills earnestly. Of these participants, 17 have successfully qualified for the upcoming Regional Taekwondo Selection Trials scheduled to take place in Deoghar next month.
On the 4th of May ( Saturday), 2024 , Little Flower School, Telco hosted the ASISC Zonal Creative Writing competition for students from classes 6 to 12.
The sub junior category consisted students from classes 6 to 8, the junior category students from 9 and 10 and the senior category had students of classes 11 and 12.
The event witnessed a remarkable turnout with over 70 participants from about 26 ICSE Schools all across town.
The Topics for Sub junior Category were
1. Suppose you are given the power to turn into something or someone else like a tree, a bird, another human being or a mythological creature . Describe what would you choose to be and why?
2. Describe a situation that made you realize the importance of friendship.
3. Narrate your experience when you were ill and confined to bed for a week and had to miss an important competition for which you have been preparing for a long time.
The Topics for Junior Category were:
1. Marooned on an island
2. Plight of a teenager
3. The day I woke up rich
The Topics for Senior Category were
1. My craziest experience in a restaurant or shopping mall
2. A change that would improve school life.
3. The joys and woes of coping with siblings
The creative writing material was judged by Dr. Piyalee Gupta, Ms. Smita Choudhary and Ms. Sujata Mukherjee.
The winners of the event will represent their respective schools at the Regional level.
The first positions were bagged by K. Vidya from J.H. Tarapore School in the Senior category , in the Junior category, by Veera Pathak from Sacred Heart Convent and by
Avneet Kaur Dogra from DBMS in the Sub junior Category.
Little Flower School hopes to host more such events in the future, which bring out the best in children and give wings to their imagination.
On 29 January 2024, a team of 34 students under the supervision of Miss Pragya Bhardwaj , took a trip to The Stray Army Charitable Trust, to support the local animal shelter. Through an open donation drive, funds were raised for food and basic supplies including 40 kgs of dog food, 10 kgs of rice, 1 kg of tea leaves and 2 kgs each of pulses , sugar and salt.
In collaboration with the shelter, the LFS team facilitated the sterilization of 30 street dogs, a crucial step in preventing unwanted litter. They were also provided with post-operative care, including antibiotic injections and painkillers. Thanks to Little Flower School's sponsorship, 20 dogs received saline solution for hydration, parvovirus and rabies vaccinations, protecting both the animal community and public health..
This initiative significantly improved the well-being of the shelter animals . Little Flower School hopes this experience inspires others to contribute to animal welfare.
On 13th January 2024, a dedicated team of 20 students from class 11 organised a free dental and general health check-up for the underprivileged. This camp was organised under the able guidance of Ms. Aninder Kaur.
The expertise and compassionate care provided to 55 people by dentist Dr. Charubala Pavan and general physician Dr. Indrani Dalal enabled in making this a success.

On 1 st December 2023, Mrs. Moushami Chakraborty and Mr. Manoj Kumar, representatives of the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP), Parsudih , Jamshedpur, a Government of India supported NGO addressed the students of classes 8-12 on an important topic that is much relevant to the youth of today. The topic was “The Harmful Effects of Tobacco. “ They gave the students a comprehensive idea of the adverse effects of tobacco, such as smoking and its effect on the consumer as well as the inhalers, chewing tobacco and the tobacco used in various pan masalas. They spoke at length regarding the government’s efforts to eradicate this dangerous element of addiction. A large number of pictures and videos were shown to help the students understand clearly the diabolic outcome of using tobacco. The session concluded with the students promising to never smoke or use any tobacco products.
A single pint can save three lives, a single gesture can create a million smiles. Keeping this noble thought in mind, Little Flower School in collaboration with the Voluntary Blood Donors Association (VBDA) and Blood Bank of Jamshedpur had organised a Blood Donation Camp on 2 nd December, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the school premises.
Little Flower School recorded 87 donors and with an approximate collection of 48 units of blood, about 144 lives will be impacted by this drive.
On 5th November, 2023 the students of Little Flower School participated in the National ASISC Literary events held at XIM University, Bhubaneswar. There were a total of 13 regions participating from all over India. Our students represented the Bihar-Jharkhand region. G Veda Varshini bagged the 1st position in Declamation in the Senior Category. Lavanya Renuka Jha won the 2nd position in Declamation in the Junior Category. Meenal Kaur Virdi clinched the 1st position for 'against the motion' in Debate in the Junior Category.
On 12th and 13th October 2023, Heritage School, Kolkata had organized the CISCE National Yoga Championship 2023 in which Adribhu Dey bagged two Silver medals.
Ayushi Adhikari and Anuska De also secured a silver medal each.
Adribhu, Ayushi and Anuska have also been selected for the SFGI ( School Games Federation of India).
On 4th and 5th October 2023, Little Flower School students had participated in the CISCE REGIONALS Athletic Meet held at De Nobili School, C.M.R.I. Dhanbad. There were a total of 5 zones participating.
Sumit Sinha secured the first position in Shotput and second position in Discus Throw, while Arshjit Singh secured the first position in Discus Throw. As a result, they have been selected for the nationals.
The third position in high jump and 4x400m relay was bagged by Nikhil Tirkey and Karan Singh respectively.
A team of 45 students had participated in the inter-school fest ‘Carmel Summit’ organised by Carmel Junior College, Sonari on 4th and 5th August 2023. This fest witnessed 13 schools battling it out in a myriad of events in which Little Flower School clinched the First Runners Up position.
On the 15th and 16th of July, two students of Class 12 Commerce - Sumit Sinha and Arshjit Singh, participated in the Jharkhand State Athletic Meet held at Chandankiyari, Bokaro. There were a total of 18 districts and the students, showing exceptional grit and sheer effort, won accolades and brought honour to the school. Sumit Sinha bagged the 1st position in Shotput and 2nd in Discuss throw. And Arshjit Singh bagged the 1st position in Discuss throw and 3rd in Shotput. They were accompanied to the venue by Mrs Barla and trained by Miss Pragati And Sir Ranjan khatua.
On 4th May 2023 , Kerala Public School , Mango organized The Volleyball Zonal Selection Trials for U-17 and U-19 categories in which around 250 students from 21 schools of Jamshedpur displayed their expertise. A team of 6 players had participated from LFS, among whom Daljeet Singh and Siddharth Sah have been selected for the Regional Level in the U-17 category.The Regional Level Matches will be played in Bhagalpur, Bihar.

Little Flower School has had a remarkable history with the ASISC Championship which is an annual event for all ICSE Schools. It is a matter of pride to be selected for the Regional and National levels of the Championship. After the Zonals at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, seven students of Little Flower School went on to participate at the Regional event held in Ranchi on 26th & 27th September 2022. Four students competed with seven zones and claimed medals in various events. The winners were:
Adrija Das – 2 silver medals in long jump and 4x100m relay, and 1 bronze in 100m dash
Arshjit Singh – 1 gold medal in discus throw and 1 silver in shotput
Nikhil Tirkey – 1 gold medal in high jump
The students will now move on to the National Championship.
Hanzala Seemak also did the school proud by winning a bronze medal in high jump.
The determined and competitive spirit promoted by Little Flower School has led to the emergence of such stars.
